quarter window moldings.
i just got the covers for a great price($20 new) i know they look like **** but i was thinking of removing the windows , cutting the molding thats on it now off , then put it back on and then place the adhesive and covers on i think this will help it from sticking out or the old crappy moldings having a peek from under the new ones. what you guys think?. any pics of these covers.i did a search before this post and did not get the info i was after, fyi.

You can sand yours down, primer and paint. I have seen peoples come out pretty well by doing that. Good luck finding them in a junkyard, I have been going to junkyards for the past 4 years and have only seen a good pair ONCE. I got mine used off of a guy that I know in MINT CONDITION for $250. Thats actually a really good price. Check out ebay, I have seen people get decent sets for less than $200.

I found 1, luckily I only needed one, it was in pretty good shape, but still put about 5hrs of work into preping it for paint. Making it look nice and smooth and getting rid of the sun dimples. Ran me about $40, I got lucky

Surely there is a way to cut it down quite a bit. Id syas take a knife and cut a lot chunk off the top and then sand the rest of the way but leave just a little bit so the glass doesnt fall out.
