How much Hp at the crank on Stock block?
Ok im sure this has propably been talked about, but i would like to see a poll on it. How much hp do you all think a stock block will handle at the crank. this is considering that all things were set up right. Also feel free to post coments.

I'm with lookingforastang too. You never know how much, but everybody I knew that blew one was running N20 and alot of it. N20 really stresses the rod and crank bearings. The block will crack before the crank does. 600 hp on a stock bottom end would hold up about a year or 2.

I have NEVER heard of someone splitting their block at 400hp. But I guess it could happen I also said 500. I would of said 550 at max w/ a good tune with whatever you are running but that wasnt an option.

So ita basically the block... or are we talking like stock crank,heads,pistons,rods..
or just the block???
becuz i take it As 500-600 horsepower w/a power adder
(S/C..NOS..)

im saying if all other things are made to be able to handle more than block can. say 1000 hp internals. the only thing that could possibly fail is the block. now what hp would that be?

hmm... well it would come down to the the type of metal a stock block is.. and the amount of pressure and heat that metal can take .. right?...
well a stock block i think would take a well amount of hp
