Solved stalling problem, finally!!
Along w/ having low fuel psi, my 89 GT had a SEVERE intermittent stalling problem. No idea when it'd do it, hot or cold, like it had a mind of its own! =) I replaced everything except the MAF, fuel pump, and ECM..
When it'd stall, I'd turn the key to the "on" position and the fuel pump would stay running as long I had the key on, the EEC relay under the hood would click repeatedly, the check engine light would flash very fast like there was a short or something, AND the tach would jump a lot.. I hope this problem isn't happening to anyone else out there cuz it sure stumped me for the better part of a year now.. I decided to finally replace the computer and I found that the prom was hardly making connection!! I replaced the ecm and tightened the prom and so far it has been running fine.. Has this ever happened to anyone else out there???
