IMO is internet lingo for "In My Opinion". If you have ever taken your air filter out, you would see that there is a hole that goes out into the fenderwell. The 'fenderwell' mounted intake simply puts a bracket in place of the stock airbox and supports a somewhat conical filter, preferably K&N, out inside the fenderwell. Better than a conical inside your engine compartment because that would only let your engine breathe hot air. Better than a cold air kit because theres a substantial decrease in the chances of catching water or other road debris. It's failsafe really.

What's this about the sound of the fenderwell intake? Wouldnt there be a similar effect from just deleting the fenderwell mounted airbox? Are you talking about that "CHUH VROOM" sound?

does the bbk cai pipeing come all the way from the intake manifold oor after the maf????

I think there are different kits you can get. From the TB or simply from the MAF sensor. I'd suggest getting the tube from the TB if you're going for that 'look'. If I'm not mistaken, don't you have to take the MAF sensor bracket off for the fenderwell mounted intake system?

ok well i am just in the process of ordering my bbk cold air intake... it says (fenderwell mount) at the end of the title and it is the more expensive one, so im guessing this is the one i should get... after i get it, should i replace the filter with a K & N?

The kit will come with a BBK filter which is not a bad filter at all. Some people will argue that a K&N is better but if you want to spend $60 dollars for a K&N filter to gain a whole 1HP than feel free.

You are ordering the right intake.
