ya go with that. that will be your best bet w/o blowin ur stock tranny. but make sure you break it in for 500 miles and dont beat on it.

Thats exactally what Im saying. Kind of sucks though, I just got off of the phone w/ Lentech. The tranny that I am looking at can actually handle over 600hp but they rated it at 500 because the next tranny upgrade can only handle 700 and they didnt want to make the numbers too close. But anyway, the trans is actually 2K w/ no converter and you can get a package for $2,300 which includes the lentech trans w/ a 9' 3000 stall. Thats not that bad. I think this is what Im going to do.
Buy Lentech.
Sell AOD
Buy TC
Than I have a stock 93 w/ beast a$$ trans that can handle pretty much anything I can give it.
Buy Novi 1000, pulley upgrade, 10psi here I come!
W/ a safe tune of coarse since I dont have forged pistons

ya my friend just got a new t-5 for his 91 lx supercharged and they told him he has to break it in for 500 miles before he can go above 3000 rmp i believe

(couldnt say mouth lol). So what your saying is, you want me to take a 93 GT w/ a 3.73's and a BLOWER and drive it easy?!?!? [&:] YEAAAAAAA OOOOOK!!!! I would never be able to do that.... would you? lolAlso, I just got off of the phone w/ Lentech and there is NO breakin period for automatic transmissions and w/ manual trannies you should just chill on it for a few miles and than its fine but even w/ manuals it really doesnt even matter.

IMO I would get the tranny first, sell the stock tranny, save and get the blower. A stock AOD is junk IMO. I went through 2 of em on a stock engine and 3.73 gears in a year. Now I wasn't being nice to it either but come on now, if you have a blower your going to play...
At least this way you can get some money from the stock trans versus trying to sell it when its blown up

+1 I think thats what Im going to do. Sucks though because I thought that it was only 1600 but I found out that its really 2K... [&:] Its still ALOT cheaper than PA and they have a great rep. All their trannies are put on a dyno before they go out and they come w/ lifetime warranties also.
Now Im going to had THREE AOD'S! I have mine from my 88. This one from my 93 and the Lentech lol.
