What size TC?

What size TC?
What is the benefit of running a smaller diameter toque converter? I was talking to the guys at Lentech Transmission and the guy was telling me to get a 9' 3000 stall. I thought that they only put that small TC's in track cars? Also, do you think I should go w/ a 3200 stall instead of a 2800-3000? The car will be driven on the street 90% of the time but it has to get somewhat OK gas mileage even though its not my DD.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Be sure to run a good cooler on the trans as a high stall converter has a tendancy to cause the fliud to run warmer......
BTW, what stuff are you running that makes you think you need a 3200 'verter?

from person experience go with a custom built converter. choose whatever manufacturer you want and have one made specifically for your car or you could end up not very happy. they'll ask you for all of the specs for your car like engine size, cylinderheads, intake, cam, etc, etc. you may think that that kind of thing is only for high dollar race only stuff, but it isn't. you could buy a 3000rpm stall converter from brand x and get 2500 stall out of it or get a 3000 stall one from brand y and get 3000 out of it. the only way to guarantee you are gonna get the stall you want is to go custom made. and it isn't much more expensive at all, sometimes it's the same price, just depends on the manufacturer.and if you aren't sure what stall to get the manufacturer can tell you what stall you need based on your specs, so what lentech said may be right.

Well, when you say that a custom converter is a little bit more money how much are we talking? I actually thought about getting a custom converter BUT the thing is, the car is STOCK right now but I just want to do the trans so I can get the blower I am looking at (thanks to FullAuto ). I will be installing a cam, heads, intake, yadda yadda yadda later on down the line so I dont think a custom converter would be my best bet.

If you buy the convertor from a good company, you can send it back and have it restalled without any issues. That usually doesn't cost a lot either since it's their product. You have to go with a large, reputable company though. Price will all depend on what you're buying and who you are getting it from. Edge (the link above) has good stuff. I went with a PA unit and paid about $400-500 if I remember correctly. I'll be replacing it soon and paying probably 3x that though.
