Default New/Rebuild engine

Alright, so im a noob w/ cars. My engine has 199xxx miles on it... Its losing power and leaking oil. I would like a new one, or possibly rebuild this block.
What kind of options do i have? I was thinking bore it to 306, or 347?
What i really want to do though is build an engine from the ground up, anyone have info on how this is done? parts comparisons, prices ect?

help a noob out

Well, now the next question is money. A stroker motor will cost atleast double as a stock rebuild. Cash is the key.
