Default Not starting 91' mustang gt

My friend has a 91 mustang and its not starting. I'm going to look at it later today to see if we can get it running before sunday. He just put a MSD 6AL right before it started doing all of this..
Anyways when you turn the key it does nothing,so he by passed the ignition switch and it cranks but no fire.. He says its getting fuel cause he can smell it he thinks its not getting spark. He also disconnected the msd and still nothing. So far hes changed the negative cable, ignition switch, and starter selenoid. So i'm thinking TFI moduel or the coil.. Any suggestions?

Well, let's start from the beginning. This problem started AFTER he installed the MSD right? Did he disconnect the (-) terminal on the batter when he was hooking all of this up?

I'd start by putting everything back to stock. If that works, then he probably has something hooked up wrong on his box or his box is hosed.

If that doesn't work, check all the fuses, relays, fusible links. start there and let me/us know what you find.

when you do mods, do one thing at a time, see if it runs...then go to the next thing. Always do these things one at a time, so when something like this pops up...you can easily trace it back. Make sure he hooked the MSD box's ground up, see if its getting spart by grounding a spark plug on something. Then make sure the coil wire from the box is good, no bare spots in the wire, etc. But you should always do one thing at a time. Its something simple, always is.
