84 stang running too rich timing?

Default 84 stang running too rich timing?

i have a 1984 gt with a aftermarket holley 600 cfm on a stock 302 with bolt ons. its running way too rich should i turn the timing up or down to fix this i havent touched any jets or anything like that any help thanks also i dont have timing gun doing by ear

do not do it by ear i have an 84 get a timing light i ran into problems doing it by ear trust me when i say get a timing light and then advance it to about 14 if it wants to go that far sometimes the carb 84 doesnt like to be advanced to much
