Muffler ticket!

Muffler ticket!
So i was leaving the mall, which has a garage parking and i was slowly passing by, not getting on it. i hear some car alarms start chirping and some actually go off, whoops. the local mall police pull me over and give me a ticket for "improper mufflers, setting off car alarms"
$89.50 or so is the ticket. lame eh? so my question is, will getting some tail pipes reduce the rumble it makes? dumps are not worth 90 bucks every trip to the mall

Where do you live, I have never heard such a thing that is not a good medium of measure. I set alarms off 24/7 because most are sensitive to prove they work.

i live in miami, fl. we usually have no such law, unless we purposely rev it, which is disturbing the peace. i cant help it if the garage itself resonates! it wasnt even the acceleration, it was more of the idle rumble setting the things off. i was taking a turn slowly in first, about 5 mph and a couple of them went off.
