i just got an 86 GT conv and the lady that i bought it from has let it sit for a while. The car wont start and i just bought a new battery and changed the oil. All of the electronics work by the way. When i tried to start it it made a click noise but i dont know what that means. Is there anything that i should be looking at to replace(besides the starter if that is even it)? All input is greatly appreciated

Its sounds like the engine does not turn over when you turn the key. The clicking noise is probably the starter solenoid. If you are sure the battery is good, it is probably the starter. By the way, how long did it sit? Gasoline will spoil over time and thicken up and clog up everything.

Make sure the battery is charged first. Don't assume it's charged because it's new.
