will be tuff to do. a 347 with high flow heads and cam will get
you around 350rwhp, run high compression pistons and you
can get a bit closer to 400rwhp

for what you spend on building up a stronger 347, you could just
slap on a turbo or s/c on and be done though.

347 stroker kit
AFR 185 heads
good cam
10:1 compression
should put down somewhere between 350-400rwhp

Are you asking about flywheel or rwhp numbers? Flywheel = no problem. RWHP = you better have a stroker.

What about those trickflow top end kits dont they claim like 350hp with tb an couple other small stuff? I dont want to put in a new engine or anythin like that but i just want to be able to kill or even keep up with todays cars but with out sacrificing to much gas mileage cuz it is my DD ya know?

Thx for replys!

trick flow top end kit is a good one. take your block .030 over and it your money.. but for a total of 350rwhp.. u might have to give a little bit more

350 at the wheel is easy on motor thats a hair over 400 at the crank, simple to do. Believe about 5% of the magazine builders. Those magazine builds are filled with so much misinformation. Dont need a stroker or high compression. The amount of misinformation online is astonishing. PM me if ya need any info

350 at the wheels from a 302/306 without high compression (meaning on pump gas) and without a power adder would not be "simple" by any means if you stayed EFI. If going carb, sure. But you aren't going to find a bunch of 10.5-11:1 EFI 306s making that kind of power. They are few and far between and aren't people who just assemble box stock stuff.

I must have been doing something wrong for the last 15 years. Its far from hard, very far. I thought everyone prescribed to the 'efi makes more power" theory? Im not gonna argue but to say making 350 at the tires is hard and cant be done without a power adder or compression is silly. I see your site in the sig, pushjing nos, it all makes sense now why you think its hard to make 350 at the tire on motor
