replacement lights...
when going with replacement headlights/tailights, is it really that much better to go with Ford original rather than aftermarket look alikes?
i want to get rid of my cheesegrater tailights and go with LX lenses and replace all my front lights as they are cracked and yellow.... i can buy them aftermarket for half the price of ford parts, has anyone had experience with this?
and when replacing headlights.... clear is obviouly the way to go with side markers (rather than the stock amber) but which do most of you guys go with; the ford original headlight or the extra clear lense?

RE: replacement lights...
I personaly would go with OE stuff on the exterior of my car. Ford lights are a bit more but are way better quality. If you want to convert your tails just buy the lense. Its a lot cheaper then shelling out $250 per light. Ill post the link to where I bought my new headlights. You can also check ebay. I bought a pair of tails off a 1 year old show car for $180 and they look great. They are so new looking that mine friend thought they were smoked (the clear upper parts). Also I bought the actual headlights from Blue Oval Industries since they had OE ones for $60 a pair. Didnt have any of the other stuff with them but I didnt have to worry with the alignment.

I wouldn't waste the money (on OEM) unless you are planning on concourse type car shows.
You can do better with your money in the aftermarket and there are a heck of alot more choices to go with.
That's just my humble opinion.
