actually it is about the same mythbusters did a show on it. but you may need more than just one recharge can. i went to AUTOZONE and the kit was like $40 and it came w/ 2 large cans. try doing that. and a little can only does like 15% of a recharge so you just might need to add more cans

Its been proven that using A/C is more fuel efficient than having your windows down.

You drive a Vert. Yank it out dropping some weight saving some gas and restoring horsepower. Drive with the top down.
no but seriously just buy a recharge kit from autozone there like twenty bucks

some times having too much freon can make not blow cold. Gotta make sure your pressures are right. sometimes you can luck up and just add some but a shop that knows what they`re doing can really get it blowing right

OK,
While on the AC subject...
I bought a '95 Cobra on Thursday night. Nice little car.
Driving up through Auburn (ca) on Friday, I realized the AC was FUBAR. So, I pulled in and got a recharge kit (134a) andput it on the system. The gauge tells me there is plenty of charge in there.
So, I'm looking at the compressor pulley, and as I'm MaxAC position from playing with the charge kit, It is cycling on and off every 5 or 6 seconds.
Do I have a failed compressor or some other trigger issue? Kragen had replacement compressors for 114 bucks. Wonder if that's a decent way to go, considering it may be a compressor problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks for your time.
Jim.

Excellent. I'll look into that.
Is there a way to test for it? Can it behave this way if the pressure is too high?
I'll pick up a book, and get some guidance, but what would this item look like?
Thanks very much for your help.
