Yes, I use a quart of it with every oil change in my Bronco and my Mustang. It's as thick as glue, practically, so it stays up in the head and keeps you from getting dry starts if the car sits for a while. I had a noisy lifter in my Bronco and Lucas took care of it.

That is the miracle stuff that used car lots live off of. Put some of that in a slipping transmission and it will work perfectly for a few hundred miles. Rod knocking? Dump in some of the oil additive and it will pass any test drive. Unless you have a really high mileage motor with a lot of wear and/or an oil comsumption problem, I see no reason in just using it in a regular basis though. But it definately has it's uses. Just don't use it as a cure. Use it as a band-aid.

Thick oil? It's like pouring road tar into your motor. I've always left the bottle in the valve cover and let it sit overnight to get it all out. If you have any lifters tapping, rods knocking, or any other valvetrain noises, it will definately shut it up. But the only thing I'd consider using it in regularly is a diesel.

I don't know all the benefits of it on a good running motor. But from working at O'Reilly's (a long time ago) and knowing quite a few mechanics (including some that work at small used car lots), it seems the main use to cover things up. And from first hand experience, it works wonders at hiding things. I'd be willing to bet a large majority of cars that go through auction have Lucas in them.

saw dust works wonders to. Especially in rear ends, put some saw dust in a rear end, mix it in with some fluid, shut it up for about a month or so. lol
