Default Shocks/Struts WITHOUT breaking the bank!

I'm looking for opinions!

I was just figuring out my 'suspension' pricing. I'm down to shocks and struts. It's going to be 95% street (maybe some drag, but if there is any drag it will only be once in a blue moon). Even when on the street, I don't paln to push it (but you never know when some ricer will want to test me!). In that case, I don't want to be body rollin all over the place. I don't want to 'break the bank', but I'm not looking for Joe's House of Shocks brand either.

Back in my day there was 'stock' and Koni (and even then Koni was $$$).

I'm looking for some 'good' shocks/struts for my 86. I did do some research on KYB 'Gas A Just'. How are these? They see fairly reasonable. Any suggestions for what I want to do would be great. Thanks!!!!

Cheers!

I bought KYB GR2's all the way around for $150 shipped... seems like a deal to me...

I'd say they're better than stock but not as good as adjustables... good value... I will probably change out the rears to KYB adjustables in the future to soften them for the strip...
