4 eye's rule.......
Your gay if you change it.........
MHO.........

Hmm, I guess Im gay then.

I changed my 85 to a 92 back in '93. of course there are those even then asking why didnt I just buy one. to that I say I could have, but I couldnt have done all that I did to a new one then. all I would have had would have been stock GT, now for less that a new one at that time, I got far more than a plain old stocker, and I built it myself. I just appreciate it more cause I put alot of myself into it rather than simply buying one. same could be said about any hotrod, if you got the $$$ why not just buy one and own someone elses pride of work, at least for me, when I show the car, I dont have to put up dozens of shops where I had this and that done. Alas I ramble alot.

The change although not difficult, its not that easy either, you have to pretty much sacrifice what ends up being a whole 87-93 style car, you need front and rear caps, the under "bumper" structure, the side skirts(for GTs) ALL the rubber split molding, unless you want it to look broken up at the fenders, The rear quarter glass, and the quarter glass has to be set in, and extra sealed, the regular seal wont cover the huge gap you end up with. The headlights, well they have to have ends swapped and you end up with an extra set of ends(the old high beams) and you can do whatever with them, use em for extra fog beams if you want or cut em off. the dash is a real b**ch. that was my last part to finish and it took the longest. You will want the interior, and I found it pretty much bolted right up less a couple extra screws in the rear panels. I say get all of this because when you start with the front clip, eventually you want to do it all

Its up to you. thats the whole point, do what YOU want to do, don't do whatever everyone else does, be different, choose your own path and decide for yourself

Why don't you just buy a 87+? I don't understand why people bother. But anyway. You need an entire front clip.
Im thinking about buying a 86 and below T-top and make it a newer body style, rather then finding a real t-top 87+. Thats one reason

Nope you don't need fenders for up to 91, they changed wheel wells slightly in 91, but the 93 front fits just fine on mine and used my original 85 ones.

Even though I would love to see another 4 eyes on the road, good luck with the switch. At least it is a 5.0 mustang.
