Myshifter.......what do you mean he won't get 200 hp from a 200 shot? When I switched from a 150 to a 200 there was a major difference, especially the torque.
Other than that, Ive had 3 different nitrous systems. All which worked quite well. My first kit was a Zex dry shot. I started off with 100 shot and worked my way up to a 150 with a stock 150K shortblock. I ran the 150 for about 2 months without a tune and it ran fine. When I got it tuned I found out that it was a little rich and got a tune. My next kit was an NOS dry shot. I ran that kit with the 175 jets in for a while and accually gained 157 RWHP and 211 RWTQ from it. Than I got an NX wet shot and have loved it ever since, It hits alot harder than the dry kits iv had.
I Have Stock Block with 10.2.1 Forged Pistons, Stock Crank and Stock Rods with ARP wave-loc bolts, and I sprayed a 200 shot for the first time last friday. I dont know how long it will hold up but I would say for a while.
Dont listen to what the companies say about timing retards. I've found that I could get away with 1 degree per 50 shot. Anymore than that and your giving up alot of free hp.

I gained 141rwhp 188rwtq from a 150 shot and 176rwhp 246rwtq from a 175 shot on a Nitrous Express Shark nozzle kit. These pulls were roughly 10-15 minutes apart.

Like the safest would be ZERO...but nobody wants to hear that crap right??
I think that I wouldn't go more than 150. I know that there are alot of guys that say no more than 150 on a stock engine. Well, yours appears to be a little more than your average 5.0 stock block. I still wouldn't go more than 150 in your case.
The block still is the same as a stock block. That's the weak link of the entire package.
Throw a support girdle on that bitch and then I think the answer may be different.
DSS sells one for $299 that is supposedly the best.
Great luck to you,
Ivan

That's why I said what I did....I don't think that the percentage of guys here I would trust to run the right combo...myself included. I mean, how many guys take the time to install it, set it up, test it, tune it, and then run it?
I know the first thing I would do after putting it on would be to crank that biotch up and run the crap out of it. But in reality, one should make sure everything is efficient and running right before letting loose.
I hate/love seeing cars come in where customers "throw" on a 150 shot of N2O and there was major pre/post detonation problems.
Most all of the cars are cars that have less than 20k miles on them and are $35k cars..
Goes to show you that not all guys are smart.
