Cleaned out engine bay...what next??
Ok, how many of you guys take the engine out and the fenders off to wsah the bay of your car??
Didn't think that there were that many..
Ok, everyone's always posting crap with no pics asking for Dr. Diagnosis....what gives? I'm posting WITH pics today since that is the sign of a great thread. I cleaned out the bay pretty good, not perfect but better than it was. It only took a full 18 oz bottle of Dawn dish soap and about 30 gallons of H2O. (Home Owners Association can kiss my ***). I've seen some guys that "smooth" the panels and others that simply paint it up. Either way to me looks really good. What opinions do you guys have and what would you do if you were in my shoes? I plan on repainting the car a color that is similar to what's on there already.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Ivan
Pics not coming out the way that I wanted...is it because they are too big?? Tell me what I may be doing wrong...thx-Ivan

RE: Cleaned out engine bay...what next??
I'm sorry...I didn't understand what you meant.
So would you guys paint it gloss black or paint it the same color that I want to paint it later..??
The only reason I don't jump on the latter of the two is that I don't want to guarantee the paint color.
Thoughts,
Ivan

RE: Cleaned out engine bay...what next??
I would personally paint the engine bay semi-gloss or flat black...
and also, greased lightning (or similar degreaser) + going to the high pressure coin carwash does a great job of cleaning the bay... just cover the dizzy and coil with something :-)

As for the paint I would just keep it the same color.
Of course that's just my opinion. I love burgandy.
