Adjust Timing
Hey, i was just wondering how to adjust the timing. Iv read that i should adjust it to 12-14. Is that about right? Im stupid, so explain how with easy words . Or is this hard, so i should pay someone else to do it? THX

RE: Adjust Timing
there is a 1/2 in bolt in front of the dizzy loosen it, put a timing light on it and turn clockwise to advance, you'll want to keep messing with it till you find where it runs best

RE: Adjust Timing
just increased my 5.0 HO this weekend to 14* and it runs great with 87 octane, go to 14* and run it for a while check for pinging (sounds like marbles shaking in a tin can) but 14* is pretty safe on any stock 5.0.
do a search and you'll find a ton of good info on this mod.... good luck

Also, I accidently took the pictures off of photobucket so I sent them to one of the mods and he will throw them back up there shortly. Here are the pictures from the tech article if you need them.
