finally got decent quote on heater core replacement
Man, glad i hunted around for some quotes on getting heater core replaced.
found someone willing to do it and recharge a/c for $250 today.
got quoted everywhere from $900 to $250 for this job ........ unreal.

Its not that hard just time consuming. If your familiar with our dashes you know it only take about 30 minutes to get it out. I think thats what most of them are afraid of. Im about to do mine in a month or two.

I removed my dash in my 88 and like you said, not hard but just time consuming taking out 1 million bolts/screws lol

just shop around and haggle some, all their reference books tell them its a 4-6 hour job + a/c recharge fee.

they still do it here, just have to have all the right equipment and license

well finally got her replaced today
ended up at $300 even with all new hoses and coolant flush.
Now it sounds like i have crank shaft bearing about to crap out. ( awful metal on metal sound coming from engine, but still runs ok )
guess it'll be nice to have a new engine in another couple of weeks.
plan on just redoing with stock engine..... might bone up another $200 and get forged pistons to help with Hellion Turbo coming soon
