Default best heads

I know this is alot of personal opinion question, but what does everyone think are the best heads for the buck. Now I will be pushing about 400 to 450 when im done. So its nothing to wild, just will want the engine to breath alittle better thanks!

FOr the price, it's hard to beat a set of Twisted Wedge. They will be good out of the box and have all kinds of potential for later.

ive heard good things about both twist wedge heads and the afr's but the afrs flow better but are a couple hundred more, but the 185 afr's flow really good and are only $25 more than the afr 165's.....i think the 185's would be good for you if your going for 400-450rwhp, but that might just be me

What HP level do you think you should be at, or what type of set up, to go with 185 over 165?

I'm kicking that around too.

If you have a rebuilt shortblock with aftermarket pistons, buy the 185s.

Well, you can't go wrong with any of the popular aluminum heads out there like TFS, AFR, Edelbrock, Canfield, Holley, Brodox, etc.
But, if you want to save some coin TriState has the least expensive.

I don't know how good they are, but neither did I when TFS first came out. Depending on whether your set up is NA or power added the heads are 60cc. So if you want to keep compression at bay, consider a thicker head gasket like ROL Extreme or Mr Gasket graphite.
