yes, they call it the "Track Heat" spring upgrade, basically you install the springs from the Track Heat heads.
50resto sells it pretty sure or summit

street heat will be fine.

ORIGINAL: 88BlueGT

Does TF have a upgraded spring package or something like that?

Also, same Q a before.... will my street heat flow enough? I do want that low end power also because it is a street car (but of coarse it will see the track occasionally).

No complaints on my TW heads, I am making 725 HP with them.

On the NOVI, have you considered the 2000 instead of the 1000?
I had the 1000 on my 88 GT and it would not huff enough air for me, traded it away and put a Vortech S-trim on. The 1000 is only capable of 1000 SCFM which is good for about 450 HP. The S-trim flows, 1400 SCFM and the 2000 flows 2000 SCFM, good for 900 HP.

I have considered it but to tell you the truth, I just dont need all that power. Not right now atleast. I plan on doing the Novi 1000 w/ a pulley upgrade to get it around 8-9psi. <-- That with a nice TW heads, TF SH manifold and a custom grind... I will definetly have enough power lol

Your running heads, intake, S/C and probably headers, and all the other usual bolt ons, etc. YOur going to be pushing it on that stock bottom end man, i hope its fresh with ARP bolts. JMO.

I know, I know, I just would hate to see you spend the $ and later wish you had the higher potential if you wanted it. you can run the 2000 at the lower boost if you wish.

My complete setup will be a h/c/i w/ a Novi 1000; Lentech Street brusider AOD; Custom stall, 3.73's, full suspension, etc.

I should end up in the low 400rwhp range.

The motor now has about 84K on it, never abused etc. but if anything does go wrong I have a motor from a 91 w/ 30K on it in my garage on a stand.... Im not too woried.

I would go with the Twisted Wedge also. They have great potential for later and are the best head for your stock shortblock now.

My friend had a stock shortblock with Twisted Wedge heads, Track Heat intake, F cam and auto. He made 466rwhp on 10psi with a Novi 2k. Don't worry about the blower difference though. 10psi = 10psi. The motor won't know if it's coming from a 1k or 2k blower. Sure, the 2k will have more potential, but at that level the 1k will still work. About the only point I could see someone make for an advantage at that level would be AIC. I've seen the little 1k support over 500rwhp on a stock shortblock (but that's a rather aggressive combo).

And I wouldn't buy the spring upgrade on the heads. I'd wait and buy specific springs for the specific cam you're going to run.

^^ Good idea, you can get alot better springs for the price that trick flow charges, I did all the valves and springs on my e-7s for 200 bucks.

Dan, I emailed both AFR and TFS about clearance's a while back. AFR said the 165's were good to .530 and TFS said the TW's were good to .540 w/o claying them up. The TW's would allow you to run 1.7's on any cam up to the E or Stage 1. The TW's have a 2.02 intake valve as opposed to the 165's 1.90. W/ boost I think the TW's are the way I'd go.... I've also heard that the springs on the 165's are crap (float) unless you upgrade them.

EDIT: BTW, the street heat should be fine. If you get to the point where it becomes the bottleneck, some porting on the lower will get you back in the game.
