i need info on a 351m/400
i found this 351m/400 complete motor with C6 trans for dirt cheap. But i dont know anything about it, is this an engine to build up, and will if fit into a '89 notch? If so what would be some good build ideas for getting it somewhere into the mid to high 12's?

its a truck motor, find a cleveland like i did. YOu can easily build a cleveland to about 500-600hp with stock heads un-touched if its the 4V heads. The 351M and 400 comes with the 2V heads, they're open combustion chambers and are really bad about pinging no matter how you tune them. Yes but the 351M and 400 are truck engines. They're not really all that great for building. The 351 has a 3.50 stroke and 4.00 bore, the 400 has a 4 inch stroke and 4 inch bore. The 400 is really great for pulling stuff. But for going fast its to heavy.

junk leave it alone, if it's 400 there are no intakes for it, the piston is about 100thou in the whole, uses a junk 2v open chamber head, I can keep rambling if you like. Run away, I dont care if it's free
