its alot easier to track down an issue with an automatic, but the stick guys can very rarely duplicate a back to back run since so much human error is involved with shift points, timing and so forth. A guy shifts the car a few 100 rpm higher or lower and you can expect to see some differences somewhere in that 1320 feet

As far as the 1/8 to 1/4 conversions, I can't put alot of faith into the comparison charts. Two seperate cars may run a 7.0 in the 1/8th, but one guy might run it at 93mph, the other guy at 100mph. Of course that's going to produce two different outcomes when they roll through the traps after the 1/4.
