more duration makes more power up top, less duration makes more power down low.

the e-cam has a 220 duration(I think) and like a .540 lift this cam makes power from 2200-5500 or around there.
the b-cam has a 224 duration with a .480 lift, it makes power from 2800-5800.
the e cam has a better idle and is better for a street car
the b cam is better suited for a street/strip car
but there are much better cams out there.
get a dual pattern cam that has different duration/lift for intake/exhaust.

i thought the b series was for a stock setup. and a x cam was more radical than the e or the f.

i do understand that there are better cams out there, the reason i was planning on this one is i get it cheaper. will the b or e cam work with the stock heads?? also if i plan on getting new heads later (assume gt40ps i guess) would i still work with those?

x-cam is pretty much a strip only cam, choppy idle and makes gobs of power with matching parts.

most cams will make more power than the stock one, but you need to know the final goal of your car, so you dont buy parts and find out they dont work well.

save up $2200 and get a good H/C/I combo like a holley systemax, or trickflow top end kit.
then it should be no problem to waste your buddys camaro.

but if you are tight on money now, get a nitrous kit, wet kits make more power than dry, and get some sticky tires and youll waste him.

not sure how fast those camaros are stock(his is bone) but i really wont be able to save up that kinda $ and drop it all at once. which is why im forced to piece it together one at a time
