What do you think this car will do in a 1/4?
I have a chance to buy a 1990 mustang GT, it has a hurst short throw shifter, 410 gears, bbk shorty headers, h-pipe and flowmaster mufflers. It doesn't have the stock 302, but it does have a 351 windsor. The seller told me the specs of the engine( Bored .40 over, flattop pistons, Comp Cams 280s solid lift cam, 1970 351 windsor heads polished and ported and a holley street dominator single plane intake. Also a Holley 750 double pumper carb.
I was thinking of buying this car for street/strip use, but first I would like to get some opinons on how much horsepower do you think this car makes and what should it run in a 1/4 of a mile.

shouldnt u be lower than a 13 with that 175 shot???? u say ur gettin tractio right??? u should be in the mid 12's....is it an auto or stick??

Low 13's also. Get you some slicks, that should put you high 12's.
12's on a 175 shot man? You must have NO traction, whats your 60? Cause i got a 306 with ported polished heads, 2.02 intake, 1.60 exhaust valves, a motorsprt 303 F cam, Mac shortie headers, 24# injectors, a ported Typhoon lower intake, standard upper and im deep into the mid 12's N/A. i would definatly be high 11's on a 175 shot of juice.

Stock Auto atm i just did an engine swap and added all the GT40 parts and the cost went over what i thought it would take but soon ill be ordering TCI AOD rebuild kit unless you know of sumin price compeitive??? I forgot to add the OUT on with in my other post [&:]

I think it should be real easy with a little seat time and minimal chassis work to be in the 12's if you are at/near sea level.
Getting the car to hook is the trick here........

a $50 buck set of 4 banger springs, some slicks, definatly get some new Mega Bite lower control arms, and that would definatly help you out alot. First get some slicks, then work on the rest of the suspension.
