Default do you need a double hump crossmember?

do u NEED a double hump crossmember to run dual exhaust on a 84 gt that originally only had single out exhaust?

yeah you need it to run true duals since the crossmemeber is flatt at one end and cannot let the pipe through

Sorry to jack your thread, but 5.0 stanger, do you by chance know which side the taller hump on the crossemember goes on. I've had mine out for a while and can't remember.

Sweet. Thanks guys. I had to grind off the spot welds on each side to slide the crossmember back for my TKO install and I don't want to put it in wrong and get it welded again only to find that I did it backwards.

you dont need the double hump cross memeber..only if you want full exhaust. just get header extenders, mufflers, and dumps. that should end way before the cross member.
