No, I do not think bolting it up would be an issue, and I do not think anything additional is needed. Everyone has a preference when it comes to brands, my OPINION is that you cannot go wrong with BBK, and I have never heard anything bad about Accufab either.

nope I run a 70mm on a bolt on car and it runs good
I have no complaints about my BBK 70mm. I guess it's always good to be able to support future mods....

Thanks for the quick responses & information, primetime

Anything else I should know before purchasing a TB? Any additional parts or upgrades necessary?
Yeah, spend the extra $$$ and buy an Accufab. Not saying the rest are junk but if I was doing it again, that's what I would buy.

you don't have any real mods on the engine..the 65mm will be good..look at the proffession product tb....they have satin for around 110.00 and polished for 130.00 and they had an adjustable tps with is nice I use them on my car...I don't like the edelbroke..spelling is right as the spring is heavy and makes for a funny pedal feel
ORIGINAL: cepowers18

My current mods are:

BBK CAI
Centerforce DF clutch
Pro 5.0 shifter
BBK equal shorty headers
O/R Prochamber
Magnaflows
Aluminum driveshaft
3.73s
Moser 31-spline axles
Auburn 31-spline posi

Is 65mm still the way to go?

Thanks for the info guys.

Brand-wise, I think I'm down to either BBK or Accufab. Sounds like both the 65 or 70mm will work, but for future considerations, I may go with 70.

Please feel free to keep the opinions coming though

A 75 will be too big for his needs. A 70 should be more than enough.

I think if you're planning on doing a cam and heads I'd go with a 70mm, but if not I'd prolly just stick with the 65mm.

1. Your 65mm TB might HURT your power since the stock intake opening is 60mm....
2. Edelbrock and BBQ are quality sand cast TB's, the Accufab is billet, and therefore, more presice. There is nothing that I can say that is good about ANYTHING that "Profesional" Products makes other than their thortle bodies do make a nice paperweight.

As for me, I have gone the whol heads/cam/intake route, and I do have a 65mm Accufab. You have 2 engine modifications, a TB will really do NOTHING until you get more engine/air/exhaust mods. Wait until you swap out the intake AND mass-air meter

im going accufab more than likely, once I get this tranny problem fixed... 70mm probably, to give me room to grow, but not that overkill.
