I was going to swap my plugs today because some of them are shot from oil and running rich. I decided I'd try autolite 25's because thats what everyone seems to be running. But they wouldn't fit at all. I know I have autolites in my car now but the numbers have worn off the porcalin on all them. They 2 plugs looked completely different side by side. The old ones were longer and narrower, I just don't know why the autolite 25's don't fit my heads. My motor is stock.

You should have asked for the plugs by application if you didn't. Obviously there is a difference in the 86.

Yeah I just went to walmart and bought them, didn't even look in the book. I just looked it up, I need 2545. I'll just return them tomorrow.

Autolite 25's are for '87+...since the '86 has the E6 heads (one year only TG), you need the 2545's. Hope this helps.
