alrighty, one more question:
i was looking on the mustang sources timeline and in '85 they list two power ratings for it one is the efi and one is the carb right? so if that follows all '85 5.0's with a carb have 210hp? would that be right?

thanx

I think 87 was the first year that they used fuel injection, or at least the SEFI system like on my '88.

1982 was the first year of the H.O. though is was not a roller motor, and it was carb'd.
1985 was the first year of the roller motor.
1986 was the first year of fuel injection and the 8.8" rear end. Everything before that has a 7.5" You can actually take
the stock gears from the Aerostar and spank them into a 85' or older Mustang and have cheap 3.73 gearing.
1987 was the first year of the new bumpers and interior and the last year "Officially" for T-tops, though there are a
handfull of 88's that have them.

I believe 1991 was the first year of Mass Air injection, but I'm not100% sure on that. It may have been 89.
