this is a tick not a knock, and those connecting rod bolts are really tight!, in fact, id use a little rtv or thread locker to ensure that would never happen, since the studs are replaceable.

NOW I NOTICED THE PRICE FOR A SET OF ROLLER LIFTERS ARE EXPENSIVE ! I NEED SOME GOOD ONE. I might as well just buy a cam roller llifter combo! lol

well , the heads and brackets attached has to come off just to remove the four lifters, the ones at the very end. just tempting to put a bigger motor in lol

AS YOU CAN SEE THERE ARE BITS OF CARBON, VERY HARD , dirt and grime that had been the result of these lifters being original and original owner never changing the oil.

The ones i could get to are soaking in parts solvent(12). SO CHANGE UR OIL and I hope this quiets, now, this can cause power loss( bad roller lifters)

im just not sure if I should be able to push on the lifters up and down with my finger( or not) to indicate worn bores??????????????
ANYONE???????? NOE OF EM WILL PUSH DOWN WITH FINGER FORCE

thanks for keeping us updated as you went along.
Most folks post problem and then never follow up to let us know what they found.
