Is there much to be gained from converting over to electric fans? 5hp? 10?

aside from gaining like 5hp you rev up faster less strain on the engine and it cools the engine a lot better i would recomend going to a junk yard and picking up a fan out of a late 80's early 90's tourus 3.8L. the fans in them pull more air than the after markets and they only cost about 25 bucks compaird to 250

not as much hp' s and tq u will gain.. it will let the engine rev faster have less drag on the motor thus creating a bit mor tq.

I used one off a buick (co worker had an extra) it works fine however since it is smaller I have to turn it on when I start the car but it deffinatly does keep the car cool!

How would the fan be wired? Is there an existing place to just hook it so it knows when to turn on? I don't want a cheap always on option for when the motor is running cool. How would that work?

u would need to use some sort of switch like I use to turn it on when u want OR setup a temp switch to run it from that so it will switch the fan on when it reaches the appropriate temp
