Ram Air?

Ram Air?
I've wanted ram air for my mustang for quite sometime now but it never seems worth it. I've tried to make my own and it never works out. I've eyed a March ram air kit in a Summit magazine for awile but it's around $160-200. Says it provides 30 horsepower, but you know those ads never turn out to be right. I'm just wondering if anybody has this, what anyone's opinion is, what it really does, and if it's worth it.

Watch it....don't get your hopes up.
I've wanted these for a while also, and spent quite some time researching this.
When they are talking about a 30+hp gain, they are talking about the kit. The kit include the March Underdrive Pulleys and ram air intake. Each are supposed to add 15 hp. My only concern is the water getting into the engine if it is raining. So, I would rather take my chances with a bbk fenderwell intake, rather than killing my engine with water. Although I may be wrong about the water, the ram airs are just a really cool concept. I think its worth it if it is what you want to get. Just watch out for the wrongly worded hp gains...You'll find that on a lot of products.

RE: Ram Air?
ram air is worthless. air is not dense enought to be rammed into the motor just cruzing around or even at any speeds you can safely drive on the street. the march kit is a glorified cai that just sucks in water and trash off the street because it mounts below the bumper. the biggest gain from that kit is the K&N filter that comes with it. if you already have a K&N you wont gain any hp from the march ram air kit.
pulleys will get you 5hp if your lucky despite the 15hp claim

I had a ram air on my 90gt and it cost me 3000 more for a new motor after driving into 2-3 inch standing water at a slow speed. It gave me very little horsepower gain. I would never put one back onto my stang. Stick with a k&n, some pullies, and a fender mount for the air filter.
