so i top her off at the pump today and i notice gas is leaking like a **** from where the tank meets the tube that you put gas into. ive been told i need to replace the whole tube, but i think its just the rubber sleeve/gasket inbetween. any1 ever had this problem? this is the part i think.

I had the same problem also. I was welding on some new exhaust tips and I could smell gas. Turned out it was that little rubber garment was bad.

it's the rubber seal guys....has the gas tank been dropped lately?...the tube is fine!(filler neck)

thanks boys. so i just drop the tank, take te filler tube out, and replace that grommet sleeve piece?
is it just those two bolts holding the straps that hold the tank up?
