Default how long to replace thermostat?

about how long does it take?

and how do you burp the cooling system?

you can do it within an hour.


to burp it, just fill up the radiator, leave the cap off, start the car and let it run for a 15 minutes, turn the heater on too. let the air bubbles come out. after 15 minutes top it off and cap it. all done!

15 to 20 minutes to change out. about two hours to let the permatex sit and just watch your radiator coolant level and wait for the water to drop (about ten minutes)

permatex holds heat and pressure alot better then Rubber Cement

I freakin hate los angeles.

nothing but chain parts stores that don't carry anything but crap. I can't even find a decent stat at the parts stores around my house in hellywood. I have to special order a "race only" mr. gasket 180* stat from autozone and that'll take a week.

There's a single non-chain parts store I'll go to tomorrow on the West side that MIGHT have something.

Rediculous.
