Default Powerband?

I've got a question for all of the guys who still have bone stock 5.0s out there (all two of you besides me ). When does your powerband "hit" on your car? Thats if there even is a hit. My car pulls had till 3 grand then once I hit 3, GET THE HELL OUTTA MY WAY! I mean you gets nailed back into your seat. I'm trying to figure out whether the cars first owner put a cam into it or not. I need to know this before I try to go solve a slightly lumpy idle issue that could be caused by a mild aftermarket cam. Thanks again guys!

Well, a cam can definently cause this, however it would certainly be helpful to know what is done to your car. My car pulls hard at around 3000 rpms and I have a little cam in it with 308 gears. It pulls hard before that but then it pulls hard until about 5000rpms and then just dies out.

If your idle sounds lumpy then it most likely is an aftermarket cam.
