throwing away money
I've got a 95 gt and I was having a idle problem, ford said my ecu and wiring harness needed to be replaced (2grand). Took it to a performance shop replaced egr, iac, and maf. Decided to take it home after throwing away money and still having the problem. Ran the KOEO and KOER codes 51 and 117. ect sensor. noticed the resevoir was low added half a gallon of distilled water ($0.50) had to drive down to the auto parts store to pick up the ect. Started the car light was out the car was idiling like it should. F*CK. Lesson learned! Make sure you check all of your fluid levels. It could save you a couple hundred bucks........

You need to check the ect for the proper voltage at dif coolant temps. More than likely that's whats wrong.

Well I did check the ect voltage and i couldn't c a large jump in #'s. everything was about were the book said it was supposed to be. But there was a wear spot on it from where the coolant was coming across it. so i just figured that was mayb the prob. ended up not. fortunately that was one part that I did not uselessly purchase. well now atleast i can get back to drinking more again.
