Well, I'm done with performance mods for a little while and i'm going to work on the looks of my car. That was totally off subject. Anyways, I was at NAPA (I work at parts plus and if my boss found that out he'd strangle me), I noticed that they have the Optima Red Top batteries, and I thought hmmmm, that'd look bad *** under my hood, so I asked them how much it was and they said $179.00. I guess it's a dry cell and it's supposed to last forever or some **** like that. Can anyone tell me if this battery is really worth that much???

a opitma is a gel cell NOT a dry cell.I personaly would'nt buy a optima.I think the optima's have a service life of 2-3 years and a storage life of 6-14 months this is why i would suggest a odyssey dry cell batt they have a service life of 6-10 years and stroage life of 2 years,they also charge quicker.I would suggest the PC1200MJT, it will fit perfect under your hood. here's a link WWW.batterymart.com;) and here's a pic of mine

I got a Similiar Battery to a Optima but its called a Oribital made by Exide.

I too work at a part store and I got the battery for a little over 100 with my discount, Battery is great I love it.
Its a Gel battery not a Dry cell Battery.

it has some nice low end power.I like it and had it since it came out and had no problems so far.

Man, looks great!! It makes the otherwise dull (everyone has the cobra/GT40/Eldelbrock intake - they all look so drabby) underhood look good.
