yes, you need to change the gears on the speedo cable to correct it.

Yes it does, you can order a new speedo gear to correct it though. C4OZ-17271-A Is the part number, about 12 bucks.

sorry to hijack your thread here, but does your speedo being out cause any other problems (other than added allot of extra km's), one of the mechanics I took my car to said it can cause your computer to act up, I have a 94 gt by the way

on some cars it can cause problems, especially when making big changes in gear ratios, not sure if thats the case on mustangs or not though.

Ya I can't say I have really noticed on mine one way or the other, I know it felt alot faster after the gears were installed but it may run better with the proper speedo gear installed. I guess I will just have to switch them and find out
