Default Spark Plugs PLEASE ANSWER FAST!!!

my buddy gave me some new plugs he had lying around. they are motorcraft AWSF 34C. they are about a 1/4 inch longer than my motorcraft 42Ps. I put one in and started the car for a sec and took the plug out, and it didnt hit the piston. so no clearence issues. should i be ok if it didnt hit?

You started the car to see if it had clearance issues or not...wow

I agree with the others and just use the recommended plug, I suggest autolites.
