Default SLP Loudmouth for LX/GT

Well, I was going to buy gears, install kit, valve covers, pulleys and an intake today but I ended up buying a SLP LM I catback, my question is... I ordered it for a LX and I have a GT. I ordered it from Brenspeed and I emailed them to see if it really mattered or not. Does anyone have experience with this. If it dont work than I will just get the GT instead but if its just a small modification that I will have to do I will just keep it and modify it to fit the car.

Also, I plan on getting a Cobra rear bumper very soon.... how will a catback fit for the GT bumper fit the Cobra? Will it hang to low?

Thanks alot guys.

Dan

Ummm yeah, you're going to have to get turndowns put on it. If it were me I would've just gone with everything else that you were going to order. Call Brenspeed ASAP tomorrow (if they haven't already sent it out) and have them send you the correct one. I beleive that the GT exhaust is quite a bit cheaper than the LX exhaust also.

A Gt with a cobra bumper is an LX in a view for catbacks made for an LX. The difference is the tailpipes, GTs turn down right before bumper, where LX's hover under. Like said above, just don't bolt on the tail pipes until you get your cobra bumper, same things as turn downs almost.

So if I get the exhaust for the GT, will it come w/ turndowns or will it come with the regular 3.5' polished tips?

Also, I should have a problem putting regular tips back on when I get the cobra bumper right?

All of those parts just listed I need to get before the Cobra bumper so it might be a while and Im definetly not waiting that long to put these on because I have a rattly muffler and it sounds like sh*t.

you could even have some turn downs put on till you get the other bumper. There was plenty of pipe for the tail pipes to slide on to be able to cut off an inch or two later if you needed to.

(dont know if that made sense to anybody)

Yea it made sense, Im also almost positive that the whole catback it seperated in 4 pieces so swapping turndowns to regular tips shouldnt be a problem.... RIGHT?
