after reading around for awhile i decided to get the regular gts even though they perform less they dont require any modification, or so ive heard
Here is your quote, saying youre going to get the regular GT heads. So I was wondering why youd do that? SInce you already have em. The only difference between yours and the factoy stock heads is the .040 that the guy milled off of em.
As for the GT-40 heads, theres a few different castings of them. The easiest to find are the GT-40P's which came on explorers, but there are interference problems with exhaust , etc. Then there are GT-40's, same heads that came on 93-95 cobras, those are a direct bolt on, no mods required to run em. Then there are GT-40X (I think thats the model #), which are aluminum and way better than the other 2.
I wasnt trying to be a ******** or anything, I was simply trying to tell you that you already have GT heads (E7 casting #). And yours are better than factory because of the milling.

The Gt40's or P heads both perform much better than stock. As for the GT40's not being as good as the P's....it depends on your combo and your cam especially. If you remove the thermactor bumps from the GT40's, they will improve even more. The GT40's also flow better than the P's above .500 lift. The only downside is that the GT40's will lower your compression (both will, actually, since your's have been milled. The P's are closer to stock comp).
