An honest shop shouldn't really charge anything more to do it since it's all really part of the gear swap process. It may take like an extra half hour to soak the clutches but you can do other stuff while you're waiting for that to happen. The hardest part is the Z spring in the carrier, putting it back in can be a pain but theres sneaky ways of putting it back in.

so if I am inquiring about it what do i ask them.. while they are changin my gears how much extra to change the trac loc ... or clutches?

buy the 3.73 gears, trak lok rebuild kit, get the trak lok additive for the rear diff fluid and tell them u want a ring and pinion swap with a trak lok rebuild ... a good shop wil charge you $250-$300 plus parts for about $350 w/ tax and shipping... or do it yourself

4.10's are to high on a 5 spd go 3.73 if you drive your car on the highway it will scream w/ 4.10's ... jmo though

You might want to look into gettng new bearings while your at it. The ones in ours are worn out and there is a lot of play.
