Stupid question...

Anyone know if 94 GT's have a gas light that will pop up if the gas tank is reaching E?
If so, how many miles can you still drive with the light on?

Sorry for sounding stupid lol but I've driven around when the gas meter was literally below E, without a light coming on, so I was just curious..

RE: Stupid question...

My 95 has a low fuel light, I think it pops on when you get around 3 gallons of gas left, in any case, if you hit a 1/4 of a tank, you better be thinking about filling up, and soon.

RE: Stupid question...

I was just wondering the same thing today actually. My 94 GT was pretty much running beyond empty and i was afraid i wouldnt make it to the gas station a block away. There wasnt any light on or anything so unless both of ours dont work than i guess they dont have low fuel lights. Im not 100% sure, im just saying mind doesnt have one that i know of.

RE: Stupid question...

shouldnt run the gas that low the gas is a coolant for the fuel pump. it will over heat and burn up. also all the sediment from the tank will be sucked in the pump also causeing premature failure.

RE: Stupid question...

There isnt. I wonder why the 95s do though... Ill double check my owners manual but I didnt see one and I have ran out of gas before like a dunce.

Now I do what I do on my motorcycle. My bike gets roughly 170 miles to a tank and my car I dont let it go over 200 miles with putting gas in it.

RE: Stupid question...

OK thanks guys..yeah I rarely ever let it get that low, just because my dad has accounts at 2 different gas stations in my town, so I can just fill up whenever and it charges him :D
But I took a road trip from CT to New Hampshire (4 hour drive) and I was running really low on the way back, but no light or anything came on..
