look at it this way too

mustangs = badass. easy to work on. fast.

taurus = grandma. suck ***** to work on. if your timing belt breaks say hello to a new engine. SHOs are decently fast but not as quick as a stang.

its still a toss up for me though, i'd love to get a SHO and put it on the bottle and mess with people all day long.

I'd definentally do the trade just as long as you've got the cash. Tell him that you'll do it if he changes the engine oil, rear end oil, pcv valve, fuel filter and spark plugs though. Also see why he's wanting to trade his 5.0 for a SHO.

Exactly. There isn't a very big aftermarket for the SHO, but there is one place that makes a turbo kit for them (bittersweetsho.com). SHO not as fast as a stang? My last one ran a 15 flat and this one feels faster.

He's had all that changed, the rear end was rebuilt 30K ago with 3.55 gears.

He said because he can't fit enogh stuff/kids in the back seat. The Tauru has A LOT of room.

Yup 5-speed, 2.21 60' time, 94mph trap speed. I had a ZEX kit on my last SHO, but I blew up the transmission before I could take it to the track! The transmissions are really weak in these cars. Basically, you can blow them up by doing a burnout.

That Mustang is a beaut...I love two-tone cars. Definitely a good trade.
