I have a 94 GT What are the stock gears that are on it? My friend has an 87 and he has 3.73's Because it seems that my first is way longer than his. And i would like to get 3.55's is that going to shorten my first gear? or even be worth changing?

you will see a difference in 3.55's but you should go steeper unless you drive on the highway constantly

and stock gears depend on the letter under the AX on your door tag
