Default intake.....on stock?

ok ive seen alot of posts about intakes all of the sudden. im wondering what gains i would see with a new upper nad lower intake (probly trickflow) on a MOSTLY stock car. basicly what i got is cai, pullys, and a full exhaust (got other mior things nothing big)

any ideas, thoughts, ....fears?

I'd say go for it. IMO even a mostly stock engine will benefit from a good intake. even if the gain isn't that huge on the stock motor, it's good to be able to support future mods.

I would say a pretty decent gain. The five liter intake is restrictive, the 94-95 even more so since Ford had to go with the T Bird style intake due to the low profile hood.

i read an article on the BBK SSI which would probably rank with the trickflow
and it picked up a peak gain of 30 some odd horsepower i think.

yea they said that the BBK SSI intake outlfows the cobra..even a ported cobra intake. THat wouls be a good comparison for them to do between the trickflow and the SSI.

I just installed my Trick Flow Street Heat intake about a week ago. I felt a very big gain and a good boost in gas mileage, I would do it all over again if I had to, I'm sure that the HP gains are very good as well. And yes, the stock intake is very restrictive.
