Default 5.0 in 96 Cobra swap..
I have searched and searched but couldn't find anything about swapping a 302 in a 96 cobra. How hard would this be to do? Would the transmission bolt up correctly? If I do this swap I will more than likely go carb setup.

I know I know.. but i figured this would be the easiest way to do it because of the ECU needed for the EFI setup.

Blown headgaskets.. I was wanting to do something different. Also the Modular parts are fairly expensive.

so are you wanting to keep the tranny that was in the cobra or use the t5 for the 302??

I was wanting to keep the cobra trans but if it wouldnt work then I would get one that would.

i thought they went to a diff trans in 94, but i could be wrong. Someone will correct me quick if im wrong.
