its running again YAY
but it doesnt feel as if i have more power........
i installed.......
afr 165 ped mount heads
1.6 roller rockers
track heat intake
it just sounds wierd.....like something is wrong, and before i know it my temp goes up to 210 (it usually rides at about 197), and there is a GOD AWFUL whistle at idle like i put on a BAD *** super charger (i wish). I reused the stock rocker shims, is there anymore shims that this thing needs or possibly better shims? I assumed the whistle was from using the stock egr plate with a 70 mm throttle body and the new intake so i stopped by THR on the way home and got a 70 MM one.
Any ideas on what would cause it to heat up?? What should i put my FPR at? anyone have any suggestions on any of this?
The car runs but im scared to drive it home, thinking i am missing something important and it worries me. anything anyone can suggest whenever they do a head swap that they can verify if i done it??
*EDIT* I didnt torque the rocker arms down in order while makeing sure the valves are down is that something you have to do with pedestal mount heads?? I can pull the valve covers and retorque the arms down in the correct order if need be.*EDIT*
Please i need help its driving me crazy.. here are a list of mods maybe that will help you all out

RE: its running again YAY
its not surging and it ides smooth but it whistles you dont think maybe its the air coming through the cai hen the throttle body and it hitting the stock egr spacer then having the track heat...

post some pics,
1.you didnt follow the tightening bolt pattern specs for the lower and upper manifold, now you have a vacumm leak there, very common, nothing to do with the throttle body.
2.And yes its starving you of Hp not fixing that and having unmetered air enter.
3.did youadjust the intake and exhaust valves properly?
also what is the timng set at/
you should notice a HUGE improvement, but the same mistakes you made , I made
